Christmas Mini Sessions
I know, I know. School just started. Families everywhere are finally getting into the back-to-school routine, and here I am throwing a monkey wrench into plans talking about Christmas! The holidays will be here before we know it, and I know everyone wants to get those cards mailed out before Mary is in labor. Let's talk about what I have in store for mini sessions this year. All mini sessions will be indoors and take place at my downtown Des Moines studio located within Mainframe Studios. I have three sets to choose from this year. Mini Sessions get released on my social media in 24 hours--so now is your opportunity to snag your set first!
Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland is a new set for 2026 and I am so excited! This is something completely different than what I have offered in the past. Think pastels and so much glitter! If the game 'Candy Land' came to life, this would be it! I'll be photographing on Sunday November 8th. Each mini session is 20 minutes in length and you'll receive 15 digital images with the option to upgrade your gallery.
Christmas Baking
Christmas baking is making a return this year. This set was hugely popular last year. It's an interactive photo opportunity. Please note that mixing the flour, adding in the chocolate chips, and taste testing the homemade cookies are part of the process. This set is not a good fit for families with food allergies. Don't worry though, there are other opportunities! Due to the interactive nature of this set and food present, I request no pets present during this session. Let me know if you'd be interested in pet specific mini sesisons moving forward though.
Cozy Christmas
The last Christmas set I am offering this year is called Cozy Christmas. It's a warm and comfy living room vibe with a nod to nostalgia. This set is perfect for families with toddlers or school-aged children. That's my own family preset on the set in 2025, and it was a bit of a tight squeeze getting all six of us situated comfortably last year. This set is meant for sitting on the floor and cuddling with kiddos {or pets}.
P.S. I still have openings for fall mini sessions on the farm. If you've always wanted to get close and personal with llamas, goats, and chickens--now is your opportunity! For each session booked, I will be donating a portion of the session fee to the nonprofit, Happy Hearts and Hooves.
