RUNorwalk 2025

October 24th was a chilly day for Norwalk's annual race, adequately titled RUNorwalk. My heated vest and extra layers kept me warm though as I photographed the runners and documented the morning's fundraiser event. The race is held by the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce and this year, a portion of the money went towards the Norwalk Easter Public Library.

Participants could choose to run either a 5k, 10k, or a one-mile fun run/walk. Afterwards, the kids even had a chance to race--where everyone was a winner! The Norwalk chamber will announce the final money raised from the RUNorwalk fundraiser in the upcoming weeks.

The race started at McAninch Sports Complex and participants were encouraged to grab a drink and a banana afterwards from one of the sponsors of the event. A full list of sponsors can be found here.

Registration was required for any runner over the age of eight years old. It was incredible to see all ages and abilities participating from four-year-olds, father-son duos, and grandparents. If you missed the event, but would still like to donate to a great cause, you can always donate directly to the library's foundation or make a purchase supporting the library.
