DMOS Orthopaedic Center's Groundbreaking Ceremony in Norwalk

Since 1955, DMOS Orthopaedic Center has been a staple in the Des Moines metro for providing musculoskeletal care to patients, and on October 30th, the DMOS team held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new Norwalk location. The clinic will be providing acute and critical care to patients at their new location--which will be located conveniently on the corner of Highway 28 and Turnberry Drive, across from City State Bank.

Last winter my middle school son broke his arm in PE class. After confirming it was a break, through an X-ray at Urgent Care, we were referred to DMOS's West Des Moines location. As a parent, you never plan to have a child need surgery, but in the event that they do, you want the best, and you want them close to you, having a DMOS location in Norwalk fits both of those criteria.

The Norwalk location will be DMOS's sixth location in the metro since opening their doors 70 years ago. Dr. Nick Honkamp spoke before breaking ground about DMOS's excitement for being in Norwalk, and the positive welcome they have received from the community.

Norwalk has an estimated population growth of just above 4% annually, with many young families moving into the community. With young families, comes more opportunities for leisure activities and sports, and with that comes more sports related injuries.

It was a beautiful day to celebrate DMOS, and we look forward to having them in our community. Follow along on the official Facebook page for updates.
