High school students, listen up. This one is for you! I know you're probably busy thinking about prom, taking your ACTs, applying to colleges, getting your FAFSA application in so your parents don't freak out on you about how they're going to pay for college. But let's slow it down a bit. Let's chat about senior pictures.

Your senior year is going to be the busiest and most fun year of your high school career. It's crazy how everyone just kind of accepts each other their senior year. I don't know what happens to teenagers' brains over the summer between their junior and senior years, but everyone is so much less of a dick their senior year. Not that you have to be buddy-buddy with your freshman bully, but people just have way more chill.
Aside from the unsettling friendships, the random bursts of tears from the female crowd, and the occasional food fight in the cafeteria, you're also going to have the opportunity to showcase your personality with a photo session that is 100% about you. These photos will former be doted on in the pages of the high school yearbook and looked upon by future classes for years to come. Even by your own classmates.
This is your time to shine, Superstar. How do you want to be remembered? Want to hold your guitar on the roof of a parking garage? Hell yes you do! Do you want to flex your muscles in your football jersey like Quillan? Maybe. How about pose downtown in front of your favorite mural? Pose with your pet bird, suuuuure thing. The possibilities are endless.
But make it unique to you. Make it fun. I promise I will make it fun and low stress. I will ensure you look good. We'll get all the bra straps hidden and the stray hairs removed from the clothing. Bring your dog and maybe your BFF as a hype man. But have fun with it. This is a low stress opportunity to make a final statement about your high school personality.
Will your outward appearance and interests change after college or being in the workforce a few years? Definitely. It's supposed to. But allow yourself to be photographed as you are at this moment in time. I promise, it is 100% worth it. Will you look back at these photos in a decade and cringe? I hope so. I certainly did with my senior pictures, but I still love them, my ill-fitting kelly green corduroy jacket and platform boots and all.
Shoot me message and let's brainstorm your perfect senior sess.
